Introduction
This Privacy Policy ('Policy') explains how Plus 1 Sports LLC ('Plus 1 Sports', 'we', 'our', 'us') collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information through our mobile applications, website, and related services (the 'Service'). This Policy applies to all users of the Service, including players, hosts, organisers, and venue operators. By accessing or using Plus 1 Sports, you agree to this Policy.
Information we collect
Information You Provide: Your phone number (for account authentication via a one-time code sent over WhatsApp), full name, date of birth, gender, sports interests, skill level, location or preferred areas, avatar image, and wallet top-up history. If you use Parent Mode, we collect a dependent's full name, date of birth, and gender. If you book on behalf of a guest, we collect that guest's name, phone number, and gender. If you apply to become a verified organiser, or request a change to your date of birth or gender, we collect a description of your background and a photo of a government ID document. If you request a withdrawal, we collect your bank account or Fawran payment alias details. Information Generated by Your Use: Game, program, and tournament bookings and cancellations, chat messages, payment transactions, reviews and ratings, check-in records, and waitlist activity. Technical Information: Device type, operating system, app version, unique device identifiers, IP address, and product-analytics data. Crash-diagnostics data is collected on our mobile app only.
How we use information
We use your information to: (1) Create, operate, and authenticate your account; (2) Facilitate bookings, cancellations, and refunds for games, programs, and tournaments, including determining your eligibility for age- or gender-restricted games; (3) Process wallet top-ups, payments, and withdrawals through our payment partners SADAD and Fawran; (4) Send you verification codes (via WhatsApp) and important service notifications; (5) Provide chat, messaging, and community features; (6) Generate and display reviews and ratings; (7) Review applications to become a verified organiser, and review requests to change sensitive profile details; (8) Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud; (9) Improve our algorithms, features, and user experience; (10) Send promotional communications (with your consent); (11) Comply with legal obligations.
Data retention
We retain your account information as long as your account is active. Transaction and payment records — including bookings, wallet transactions, and withdrawal history — are retained for a minimum of 3 years for accounting and compliance purposes, and are not deleted even if you delete your account (see 'Your rights' below). Review and rating data is retained indefinitely as part of the historical record of games. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time; we may still retain anonymised or aggregated data, and financial records as required by law.
Security
We employ industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for data in transit, phone-based OTP authentication, and restricted access controls for databases and uploaded identity documents. Supabase, our backend provider, meets SOC 2 Type II compliance standards. However, no security system is completely impenetrable. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
Your rights
You have the right to: (1) Access your personal data by viewing your profile; (2) Correct inaccurate information through your account settings, or through a reviewed request where a field (such as date of birth or gender) requires identity verification to change; (3) Delete your account by contacting support@plus1sports.com, or instantly through the website's account-deletion tool — deleting your account anonymises your profile information, but financial and transaction records are retained as described above, and are not erased; (4) Withdraw consent for marketing communications by disabling notifications in app settings; (5) Request a copy of your data in portable format; (6) Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority in Qatar. Children and dependents
You must be at least 16 years old to create your own Plus 1 Sports account; we do not knowingly collect account-registration information from anyone younger. Parents and guardians may separately register dependents under 16 within Parent Mode and book games on their behalf; a dependent does not have their own login or account credentials, and their information (name, date of birth, gender) is visible only to the parent/guardian who added them and, where relevant, to the host and other participants of a game they're booked into. If we become aware that an individual account was created by someone below our minimum age, we will take appropriate action, which may include deleting the account. Parents or guardians with questions about Parent Mode or a dependent's data should contact us at support@plus1sports.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Significant changes will be notified to you via email or through the app. Your continued use of the Service following such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. The 'Effective Date' at the top of this page indicates when the Policy was last updated.
